Five ways to go from day to night in no time with the assistance of Co Co An Experience!

It’s hard to know where to start, especially if you’re running from office to dinner date. I recently spoke with Roz Connolly, owner of Co Co An Experience, who gave me some insight on how she would rock the day-to-night style. “During the day I love a great pair of jeans and a casual top. To make the look more night appropriate, I would change the top to something a little dressier and add a pair of heels.” Below are a few more tips that will step up your style game without a hitch.

Carry a trendy clutch

Substituting a big bulky purse for a clutch might just be the most important day-to-night tip of all. Clutches come in all different shapes now, and the best thing about them is their size. Being small and compact, a clutch can fit the essentials (phone, wallet, keys, lipstick), but won’t feel bulky and annoying to carry around all night. Additionally, if you opt for inexpensive clutches, you can have a different color or style for every outfit, unlike a purse where you may just have one or two that go with the majority of your wardrobe.

Sport eye-catching shoes

Sometimes something as simple as a pair of shoes can change your whole look at Co Co An Experience! To get the most out of your day-to-night ensemble, search for a pair of bright colored or uniquely shaped heels. Anything that’s eye catching such as a bright pop of pink, some studs or even an interesting design will give your look the edge that it needs. If you’re someone who is running around town or in and out of the city, stick to wedges or platform sandals instead of stilettos–you’ll be much better off walking and they are equally as sexy.

Throw on a colorful blazer

You can never go wrong by carrying an extra blazer with you to the office. Even during the summer time, buildings get cold, so having something to put on won’t look out of place. During the day, it’s pretty standard to see neutral or light pink lip shades because it’s a softer look that is appropriate for work or school. However, once nighttime rolls there’s no better opportunity to experiment. Trying out a bold new lip color can take a look from simple to edgy in a flash. If you’re not sure where to start, try a classic red before moving on to more uncommon colors such as shades of purples.

Change your hairstyle

While on-the-go or sitting in an office all day, it’s common to want to keep long locks out of your face and tied up in a bun, but a nighttime look is all about letting loose and your hair should be no exception. Trade the up-do for some messy waves. A 1’’ curling iron is a great tool to achieve that natural and carefree look. Don’t have time to run home first? Try keeping hair in a braid an hour before going out in the evening. When you go to shake out your hair, the braid will have crimped small waves into your strands that will last for hours (pack a mini hairspray!).
