As we approach the end of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, let’s join the movement to end the cycle of abuse and create a violent free community. Join Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates (S.O.F.I.A.) in a candlelight vigil to bring awareness and to promote advocacy against domestic violence.
S.O.F.I.A. wholeheartedly invites the communities of Essex County to take part in this important night in honor of loved ones lost and to support survivors, as well as to promote unity throughout the community. So on Mon. Oct. 24, join many as they gather together in Montclair’s Crane Park at 6:30 P.M. to reaffirm the belief that with awareness there is hope. For those of who aren’t familiar with the town of Montclair, Crane Park can be found at Glenridge Avenue and Lackawanna Plaza.
S.O.F.I.A. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit domestic violence advocacy organization that provides supportive services and referrals to women and children affected by domestic violence. Their mission is assist clients to become self-sufficient, positive and successful.
