Wednesday Worship with Dave Pettigrew.
Dave Pettigrew is back in Montclair and ready for more great performances with the Montclair Community Church. In the new year, Wednesday Night Worship will continue on the following schedule: Feb. 3, March 2, April 6, May 4 and June 1.
In October of last year, Dave Pettigrew, an Independent Christian Music artist and Worship leader, joined forces with Montclair Community Church to launch a monthly worship service. These services are designed to bring people of all ages and from all denominations together and give them an avenue to explore and find inspiration in their faith through a night of music and reflection. Since its launch, the services have been met with enthusiasm as a growing number of people – young and old alike – from churches across the area come together each month.
“I think the most enjoyable aspect of these evenings is that it is centered on the audience experiencing something bigger than the band,” said Jeff Constantine. “We don’t want to entertain, but rather give something that affects them on a spiritual and emotional level.”
Each night features music, a short inspirational devotion, a time of prayer and some information on an organization that is doing good in the community. While the nights continue to evolve, contemporary music serves as the unifying force, allowing everyone to leave uplifted and inspired.
“Wednesday Night Worship has been a wonderful whole family event,” said Ernie Rivera. “After each gathering attendees leave feeling encouraged and excited about the days to come. These monthly gatherings feature a time of uplifting worship, an inspiring message and the opportunity to connect with some great people.”
Hailed as the poet for the common man’s search for Christianity, Dave Pettigrew’s music has infiltrated the east coast Independent Christian Music Scene. With thought-provoking lyrics that offer a transparent look at the day-to-day struggle one undergoes when trying to live out one’s faith, Pettigrew is able to connect with audiences from all walks of life and lead them into a worship experience that inspires authentic life change from the inside out.
Selected as one of the top 20 emerging artists in contemporary Christian music, Pettigrew has opened for Michael W. Smith, MercyMe, Brandon Heath, Thousand Foot Krutch, Addison Road, Lincoln Brewster, Mark Schultz, The Afters and For King & Country.
