The saxophonist Dave Koz has received nine GRAMMY nominations due to his self-titled solo debut album, had nine No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, toured the world and been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Throughout his career, Koz has even played with artists such as Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Shelby Lynne, Kenny Loggins, U2 and Michael McDonald. Koz is also known as a humanitarian, entrepreneur, radio host and instrumental music advocate.
David Sanborn is an American alto saxophonist. His solo recordings typically blend jazz with instrumental pop and R&B. Sanborn has been playing the saxophone since before he was in high school. His first solo album, Taking Off, was actually released in 1975. Sanborn has won six Grammy Awards, and has had eight Gold albums and one Platinum album.
“After hearing their most popular singles, I’m quite curious to see how they are going to perform side by side. Jazz has always been an interest of mine. It’s just something about the instruments that makes the music sound like no other!” said Rod Reyes, intrigued prospect.
