Peak Performances is bringing another culturally sound performance to the stage with the premiere of Go Down, Moses at the Alexander Kasser Theater. The show is premiering mid June as part of the Alexander Kasser Theater’s summer series.  Go Down, Moses is Italian director Romeo Castellucci’s most recent work. He is known as one of today’s most innovative artists, as his pieces combine history with modern themes. This will be a show no theater fan wants to miss.

Go Down, Moses follows the themes highlighted in the Book of Exodus and William Faulkner’s classic novel. The prophets experiences are illustrated in a modern, theatrical manner, that is unique to most shows of this time. The show is an Italian work with English supertitles, adding to the rich culture the Alexander Kasser Theater consistently brings to the stage. The talented performers starring in Go Down, Moses are sure to take audience members to another world during each 75 minute performance.

“I saw ‘Hey Girl!’ at MSU years ago,” said Peak Performances’ fan, Joann Falin. “Castellucci is just amazing. I cannot wait to see what he has in store with this new show.”

The Alexander Kasser Theater could not be a more perfect venue for this classic baroque work. Stationed locally here in Montclair, members of the surrounding communities have easy access to surrounding restaurants for a summer night filled with dinner and a show. The Ensemble Amarillis is currently one of Europe’s best performance groups, making the Alexander Kasser Theater lucky to host La Double Coquette’s premiere.

Peak Performances continues to provide Montclair and its surrounding communities with various forms of art all year round. From concerts and choirs, to plays and dance shows, the Alexander Kasser Theater has something to suit audiences of all ages. Located conveniently right outside New York City, the Kasser draws artists and fans alike, as nothing can beat the talent they bring in, as well as the ticket prices.

Don’t miss out on the weekend of performances! Shows dates are Thursday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 11 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 12 at 3 p.m. The Alexander Kasser Theatre is located right on Montclair State University’s campus at 1 Normal Ave. in Montclair.
