Iris DeMent has remarkable vocals!
As Iris DeMent returns to the Outpost in the Burbs on Saturday, May 14, prepare yourself for a night you won’t forget. This memorable performance will only take place at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation (Fletcher Hall) at 67 Church St. in Montclair.
It was because of Russian poet, Anna Akhmatova, that she felt so connected to the world. Since then, melodies have just poured out, creating notes so beautifully that truly deserves much recognition.
“This will be Iris’ third appearance at the Outpost,” said Gail Prusslin from Outpost in the Burbs. “Audiences love her performances! There is a buzz of excitement before the show, but once she starts to sing, you can hear a pin drop, due to her remarkable and unique vocals and her brilliant and poignant songwriting. She’ll likely please the audience on both piano and guitar, with her classic tunes, ‘Let The Mystery Be,’ ‘Our Town’ and ‘When My Morning Comes Around,’ as well as songs from her most recent album, The Trackless Woods. Iris will have two accompanists with her for this show; we know this will be another memorable concert by Iris DeMent at the Outpost!”
Grab your family and friends to embark a journey of such meaningful music. Tickets for the show can be purchased through Ticketleap, Studio042, Keil’s Pharmacy or Ticketleap. All sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges. All tickets purchased day of show are subject to a higher charge.
