Indulge in a mouthwatering slice of Mancinni’s Coal Oven Pizza!
Since opening in 2012, Mancinni’s Coal Oven Pizza has won over customers with not only their rustic charm but their delicious meals and, you guessed it, pizza.
The restaurant, opened and owned by Mike Winsch and Paul Daley, has been serving the Montclair community for over four years and customers can’t seem to get enough! The small, rustic place has food nothing short of amazing. Unlike normal Italian pizza parlors, Mancinni’s decor involves wooden benches, mason jar glasses, paper napkins and of course the coal oven pizza that cooks the dough in almost half the time it takes for a normal oven.
Mancinni’s offers a large variety of meals on their menu including almost a dozen different types of pizza to choose from, salads, sandwiches, sides and desserts. If you’re craving a delicious coal-fired pizza, you can choose from the “classic” which has tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil, the “meatball” which has meatballs, ricotta, red sauce and fresh basil, the “salami” which has tomato sauce and mozzarella topped with sopressata and pepperoncini, the “pancetta” which has tomato sauce and mozzarella topped with fresh chillies, the “white veggie” which has roasted peppers, artichokes, red onions, mushrooms and garlic and the “Joe” which has tomato sauce and mozzarella topped with sausage, pepperoncini and ricotta.
Mancinni’s also has an option to create your own pie topped with any toppings of your choice! You can also customize your pizza to your convince and make it gluten free. All pizzas are available either 12 inches or 16 inches and range from $13 to $24.50.
As for salads, Mancinni’s offers “artichoke” salad which has marinated artichokes, radicchio and arugula drizzled with house made dressing, “herb” which has arugula, parsley, mint, thyme, oregano, goat cheese and raisin bread drizzled with a house made dressing, “mixed” salad that consists of salad greens, tomatoes, pickled red onions, balsamic dressing and grana padano and more! You also have a choice of adding either meat or cheese for just a few extra bucks.
If you’re craving a sandwich, Mancinni’s offers three kinds: “veg” which has fresh mozzarella, tapenade, roasted red peppers and artichokes and salad greens, “prosciutto” which has prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and salad greens with a side of garden pickles and “soppresata” which has soppresata, fresh mozzarella, house pickled red onions and salad greens. All sandwiches are made on house made rolls and are priced at $12.50.
Mancinni’s prides themselves on using locally seasoned products as well as creating most items in house.
“I love Mancinni’s because their pizza is like no other in Montclair,” said resident Jane Blanchard. “Their meat and cheese are always fresh and the customer service is just as great as the food!”
