MariaPaz Home Care offers amazing services.
MariaPaz Home Care serves Essex, Bergen, Passaic, Union and Hudson counties with great home care services; they are also a valuable resource to the community, providing information and training to caregivers.
According to Helen Dao, CEO of MariaPaz Home Care, they provide home medical care, companionship, care for parents who have children with special needs and home care services with chronic health conditions or special needs. MariaPaz serves all age groups, from children to seniors.
Caregivers at MariaPaz are Certified Home Health Aids (CHHA); at the company, there are currently a total of eight CHHAs, two Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) and two Registered Nurses (RN).
Those interested in requesting the services of MariaPaz Home Care can get started by calling the office (973-542-8414) and completing an over-the-phone service request screening to understand the needs the client might have. A date and time is then set for a registered nurse to come to the home and do a nurse’s assessment.
“We try and assess the personal care needs that a patient may have,” said Dao. “[We see] if they have daily needs, such as assistance in the shower or light cooking/housekeeping. We don’t provide medication, but we do provide medication reminders. The assessment will give us the guidance for the nurse to develop the kind of care the patient will need based on their goals.”
Aside from providing home care, MariaPaz is a resource for the community. “We want to [have people] come to our office to get info about caring for children and seniors with special needs,” said Dao. “We have resources available at our office and we’re trying to collaborate with the town of Nutley to have a health fair.”
MariaPaz also offers free training for care givers.
According to Dao, they currently do not accept Medicaid or insurance, and they are currently looking into accepting insurance. MariaPaz Home care is located at 234 Franklin Avenue in Nutley, N.J.
