Richard Marranca’s “The New Romantics” at MPL

Visit the Montclair Public Library on Nov. 21 at 7 P.M. for special guest, Richard Marranca. As part of their With the Author series, the library will have Marranca discuss his book The New Romantics: Ten Stories of Mystery, Passion, Travel and Vampires.

Richard Marranca‘s diverse collection includes joy, journey and mystery of life. It details the travel tales in exotic locales, artists and philosophers in crisis and ecstasy, vampires in a bookstore, a Buddhist monk at a Catskill resort, the highs and lows of romance, and the importance of wild places within and without. Something that you’ve never read before.

Richard Marranca writes essays, fiction and poetry. He has taught for many years, which included a gig as Fulbright Professor at the University of Munich. He is tenured in the English Department at Passaic County Community College, and has also been for many years an adjunct in the Classics Department of MSU. He is a past president of NJ Fulbright Chapter and a Trustee of NJ College English Association.

The series, presented in partnership with Watchung Booksellers, promotes local authors with the intent of fostering a love of reading and a love of literature. The Watchung Booksellers is located on 54 Fairfield Street, Watchung Plaza, Montclair, NJ 07042.

All events to the Montclair Public Library are free and open to the public, but registration is highly recommended. The library is handicapped accessible and can provide assistive listening devices upon request.
