Ryan Hobler, currently living in Montclair, will be playing a show in his new hometown at the end of the month. It will be hosted by the Montclair Center. Hobler is an American Noir singer whose rise to fame has had him featured in Acoustic Guitar Magazine and Popdose.
Ryan Hobler has been compared to artists such as Sondre Lerche, Andrew Bird and Ryan Adams. According to his website, ryanhobler.com, Hobler frequently moves from genre to genre and has been playing his music all over New York City for two decades.
Ryan Hobler is currently working with well-known producer Andy Baldwin, known for his work with Saint Lucia and Bjork, to bring his career to new heights. Hobler and Baldwin have created a plan for Hobler to release one song every month throughout the entire year of 2014 to build his debut album, The Elusive Yes, “one track at a time.”
The show will take place on Sat., July 26 from 8-9 p.m. outside of Montclair Center Stage on Church Street in Montclair, N.J. The show is free and open to the public. It is part of the Montclair Center Summer Series put on throughout the entire summer. Hobler’s goal is to perform this hometown show to amp up anticipation for his debut album, which is set to release in late 2014.
