Grab all your friends and join the dazzling UMBA event, Uptown Girls Night!
If you’re looking to do some shopping, mark your calendars for Thursday, May 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. The second Uptown Girls Night will take place with many confirmed Upper Montclair Business Association businesses participating with specials, discounts and giveaways that are sure to make your night – without draining your wallet! The Uptown Girls Night is being chaired by Jennifer O’Sullivan from Olive That.
Some confirmed businesses participating in the event include: Barbara Eclectic, CoCo An Experience, Frederic Goodman Jewelry, Java Love, Learning Express, My Social Heirloom, Olive That and More, Paper Boutique, Pink Bungalow, Powder Room, Power Stretch Studio, Saunders Hardware, Susanne N., Sweet Home Montclair, Uptown Art and Valley Girl.
According to Gail Goodman of Frederic Goodman Jewelry, “Ladies Night is an event created by Jennifer [O’Sullivan] and several [UMBA] members to have a community event that gives our ‘ladies’ and their friends a night to celebrate together and explore Uptown! Our shopping village has tons to offer, from evenings out learning to paint, to stretch studios, makeup tips, wonderful women’s clothing shops and children’s apparel and toys. Olive That always has interesting tastings or grab a cup of coffee and head for Sweet Home Montclair for chocolate pretzels. We have lots of new shops that have joined the association like Apple Village, Wakefield & York and an event space called My Social Heirloom.”
Frederic Goodman Jewelers is a third generation family jeweler and also participated in the event last year. At this year’s Uptown Girls Night, “ladies” and friends are able to shop with Frederic Goodman. In addition to the camaraderie and cocktails, shoppers will receive a 15 percent discount on their purchase. Items added to a “wish list” will also receive a 10 percent discount for the future purchase. Shoppers can also enter a free raffle to win a $195 pair of Rock Candy sterling tear drop earrings with quartz over mother of pearl, designed by IPPOLITA.
