Valley Girl brings fashionable clothes!
Valley Girl, located at 602 Valley Rd., has been open to the Montclair community since 2014 and since then has been promoting the brand of fashionable clothes that are affordable too!
Valley Girl considers themselves a “easy Boho fashion” store whose motto is: “We believe girlpower is ageless. We believe liveable clothing and accessories can be stylish, easy to wear and don’t have to break the bank. We believe local is wherever your heart takes you. We believe spirit and soul belong together. We are East Coast born. We are West Coast made.We are Valley Girl.”
It’s more than just a clothing store though. Through their motto of teaching others to be their true selves, the store has done benefit sales to help donate to charities. They recently did a benefit sale a few months ago that was held on April 7. The benefit was the celebrate “#girlpower,” and friends, family and customers were invited to come hang out and shop to help benefit the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Essex County which is dedicated to providing direct services and housing assistance to homeless families with help from an extensive network of volunteers and other partners throughout the community.
It will also be apart of the upcoming Upper Montclair Annual Sidewalk Sale which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 18 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The store was opened in 2014 by Elaine Sinisi. The best way to describe Valley Girl? According to Sinisi, “Ageless, easy to wear but doesn’t break the bank.”
Before opening Valley Girl, Sinisi was also the owner of Little Shoebox, a children’s shoe and accessories store. After Little Shoebox closed, Valley Girl now resides in the location of where Little Shoebox used to be at 602 Valley Rd. “I opened Valley Girl because I wanted a place for those who used to shop at Little Shoebox but couldn’t anymore because they were too big,” said Sinisi.

If you are interested in shopping at Valley Girl, the store is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. They are located at 602 Valley Rd. in Upper Montclair!
