Yogathon for Young Women Leaders.
As a part of the Annual Day of Mindfulness on the campus of Montclair State University, there will be a day-long Yogathon to help center people in their busy day-to-day worlds. The event on Monday, Sept. 22 will be a fundraiser for the Scholarship for Young Women Leaders to benefit a private academy in Newark.
The Yogathon will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The tickets are split into three categories: Early Bird, Night Owl and Drop-In/Tune-Out. Early Bird tickets are $8 and includes three hours of yoga any time between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Similarly, Night Owl tickets are also $8 and includes three hours of yoga between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Drop-In, Tune-Out tickets are $3 before the event and $5 the day of; they include one hour of yoga at a time of your choice.
Tickets to the Yogathon can be purchased on eventbrite.com, where you can also leave a donation of your choice to help support the Scholarship for Young Women Leaders.
According to the eventbrite page, “Montclair State University’s Office of Equity and Diversity in collaboration with Parking Services and the Newark Yoga Movement organization will be raising money for the Scholarship for Young Women Leaders in Newark Public Schools. During this Day of Mindfulness the University will host several different areas of mindfulness as described by the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society.”

Held on the campus of Montclair State, this event is open to the public and will be held in the Student Center Quad, directly in the center of campus. Parking is available in the Red Hawk Deck near the main entrance at an hourly rate. After leaving the Red Hawk Deck, continue along the path next to the library and you will arrive at the Student Center Quad. In case of rain, the event will move int the Dinallo Heights Multipurpose Room, near the Yogi Berra Stadium.
