New furnishings store m. francesco floors Montclair with Lee Loves Local Event.
Mariano Verrico’s projects have always been based on his passion for elegant and affordable home furnishings, and his newest venture m. francesco proves no exception. The store showcases beautiful chairs and sofas, but it also provides over 1,000 different fabrics, wall coverings, custom designed floor samples, lighting and home fragrances to enhance the home atmosphere. m. francesco promotes local color with “town pillows” featuring Montclair, Upper Montclair, Glen Ridge and Essex Falls. Although the store is new to the Montclair community, Verrico is already planning events like Lee Loves Local to give back to charities in the Montclair area.
Lee Loves Local will occur from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 11-18 at m. francesco. A 25 percent discount will be provided on all Lee Upholstery orders and floor samples, and 10 percent of those sales will be donated to the Montclair YMCA. The Montclair YMCA is a not for profit whose mission is to help area youth and promote healthy living for all ages.
“Lee Loves Local is a great way to support the community we live and work in,” said Verrico. “At the same time, m.francesco can offer our customers a substantial savings on furniture for their home!”
Verrico’s special skill set – designing custom color concepts – inspires him to practically polish his clients’ rooms while enhancing elegance. m. francesco allows Verrico to show off his talent and passion. In addition to providing upholstery and re-upholstery, m. francesco has a variety of layouts, fabrics, trims, wallcoverings and window treatments to accessorize a room.
Before establishing m. francesco, Verrico worked for Eugene Kalkin, founder of Linens and Things. He also designed with Richard Roberts Ltd., a home furnishings store. Verrico came to the Montclair area in 2005 when he founded Contessa Designs in Verona, N.J. He expanded the local boutique into a full service indoor and outdoor design company, with clients ranging from New York to Florida. Verrico also operates a private label called “Mariano Francesco” that uses only natural fiber fabrics.
Verrico is dedicated to serving the needs of his community, furniture and otherwise. In 2008, Verrico received the Good Neighbor Award for Verona Township for his charity work with multiple organizations. The Lee Loves Local Event builds on his passion to help others and his commitment to the community. m. francesco will host the Lee Loves Local Event to give back and to thank Montclair for welcoming Verrico and his business into the community.
