Although graduation may be a few months away, students and companies around the Montclair area are gearing up for Project Graduation 2014.

Project Graduation 2014 is an “all-night party” that starts as soon as graduation ends. Students are able to celebrate with their classmates in an environment without drugs or alcohol.

This event is planned mostly by the parents of graduating seniors, with the additional help of many people throughout the Montclair community. Faculty and parents plan the event, which is sponsored by various businesses and families in the surrounding area.

One company that assists yearly is Studio042, based on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. Pilar and Scott Kennedy, owners of the company, were proud to donate $1,075 to Project Graduation 2014 from the sales of lawn signs last year. This year, the Kennedys and folks at Studio042 plan on doing the same program.

According to Scott Kennedy, CEO of Studio042, the lawn signs this year will be both generic and custom, and will be offered through their new MHS Spirit website, montclairmounties.com. This website is dedicated to servicing the MHS community’s spirit and pride needs.

“We and the staff of Studio042 are looking forward to rolling out the same program for the Class of 2014 this year,” said Kennedy.

Others are happy that Studio042 is supplying these signs once more as well. “Everyone, including myself, was very pleased with their signs and the ease of ordering and picking up the signs,” said Mary Ann Cucci, chair of Project Graduation 2013, in an email to Kennedy.

For more information, give Studio042 a call at 973-509-7591, or visit them at 423 Bloomfield Avenue.

Members of the community are encouraged to come together and help support the graduating students.
