Emblem3 travels from X-Factor to the Wellmont.
Emblem3 is bringing their talent to the Wellmont Theater in Montclair on Feb. 25. If you haven’t heard of Emblem3, they resemble an edgier version of the world-renowned One Direction. They bring a level of rugged pop to the boy band scene with their tattoos and down-to-earth lyrics. They sing about everything from the girl next door and missing their hometown to hitting it big and everything in-between. This show is surely to draw a younger crowd but should be entertaining for all ages.
After their audition in San Francisco, Calif., Emblem3 landed in fourth place in the second season of the X- Factor. They were known for covering songs. To name a few, “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls, “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic” by the Police, “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars and many other popular songs. They signed shortly after the season ended with X-Factor producer, Simon Cowell’s Syco Records, as well as Columbia Records.
Luckily, Emblem3 was able to take their talent off the competitive stage and on to the real one before X- Factor was cancelled shortly after. The band is comprised of brothers Wesley and Keaton Stromberg and their friend Drew Chadwick. The trio is most known for their popular radio hit, “Chloe (You’re the One I Want).” Their album Nothing to Lose, which released in July of last year. It has already sold over 70,000 records in the United States alone.
In August, the band won in the category Choice Music: Breakout Group at the Teen Choice Awards. It was sponsored by FOX and recognizes achievement in categories like film, music, television, fashion and sports.
There are still tickets available, so check out livenation.com for ticket information. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. with performances by MKTO and Jackson Guthy occurring beforehand.
