Asana House Juice Bar Cafe is a “hip juice bar in Montclair that has some exciting new offerings you might be interested in.” Located at 127 Valley Road, Asana House is under new ownership and is expanding their menu. Current owner Greg Williams received ownership of Asana House on Sept. 1 and is making some great changes.

Some changes include adding table seating instead of what was previously couches, as well as expanding the hours. Asana House is now open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. Asana House also offers breakfast, brunch and noodle dishes in the evening.

“We have a really friendly environment and incredible food,” said Williams. “Our juices are the best in town. Most of our customers come here because we make fresh juices every day for our customers. We serve fresh juices, smoothies and cleanses, and we’re vegetarian.”

According to Williams, Asana House is working to expand the menu. One recently added item is the Paleo latte,  based on the bulletproof coffee; it is coffee with grass fed butter and coconut oil. This latte helps to improve concentration, gives you energy and slightly reduces your appetite. Another new item includes the Quinoa and Kale bowl with almonds and cranberries which is a great healthy lunch option.

Asama House also works to create a relationship with their customers. According to a review by Devil Gourmet, “with a small staff who seems to know nearly every customer by name, Asana House instantly makes you feel like a welcomed regular.” Williams says that they appreciate their customers and try to make friends with everyone.

Williams also loves one of their staple menu items: the noodles. “Our Ramen noodles are killer,” said Williams. The noodles are fresh and served with miso broth and vegetables – but people at the Asama House like to call it “Slurp.” Slurp features “shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, broccoli, asparagus, bean sprouts and anything that is fresh in season set in a spicy miso broth.”

Williams wants the community to know that Asana House is “always fresh and always fun” and that they “serve food in addition to great juices; there’s always a surprise.”
