Total Sports Squirts offers recreation for children.
This spring season, Montclair Recreation is working alongside the United States Sports Institute to offer sports programs for children aged two through five, perfect for those who are trying to find the right sports fit for their child.
The Total Sports Squirts program, designed for children aged three through five, will feature a new sport each week of the program, including lacrosse, soccer, t-ball, floor hockey and more in a “safe, structured environment.” According to an announcement, the Total Sports Squirts program is ideal for a child who wants to try his or her hand at a “little of everything.”
If your child continues with the program and develops a favorite sport, they can then move on to one of the sports-specific Squirts classes.
The Total Sports Squirts program will run on Thursday from April 16 through June 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Edgemont Memorial Park, located on Valley Road. To participate, the program costs $155.
Additionally, there is a “Parent and Me” Total Sports Squirts program ideal for two- and three-year-olds, who are just starting out in the world of sports. Participating children will be able to work with a parent or caregiver. This program runs on Thursdays from April 16 through June 4 from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m., and Saturdays from April 11 through June 6 from 4 to 4:50 p.m. at Edgemont Memorial Park, located on Valley Road. This program costs $155.
The last program is the T-Ball Squirts program, perfect for children ages three through five. This program is the perfect way to “introduce young sluggers to the exciting game of baseball.” T-Ball Squirts runs on Saturdays from April 11 through June 6 from either 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. or 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. at the Edgemont Memorial Park, located on Valley Road. This program costs $135.
