This month, Montclair bid a fond farewell to Terra, the Fair Trade tea salon and eatery at the Isabel Rose Café in the Montclair Public Library. After nearly a decade of successful business, (five in their Church Street location and the rest at the MPL) owner Grace Grund has closed the café to pursue new endeavors.
Terra will continue to sell teas and other Fair Trade products via their website, and encourages patrons to stay in touch via Facebook, Twitter, and email for updates regarding pop-up events and sales.
As for the space, the Isabel Rose Café will soon welcome a new owner and business– stay tuned for more information!
Olive That and More, Montclair’s gourmet grocery store, is hosting an event to celebrate their third anniversary. Olive That invites the invites the community to celebrate with dishes from Beyond Nutrition, Gus and Co., Little Daisy Bakery, Montclair Bread Co., Sweet Home Montclair, Take Back the Kitchen and Taste of Montclair. A portion of the sales from this event will support Toni’s Kitchen, donations are acception throughout registration.

Taste of Montclair has just announced the date of their next event. Taste of Montclair 2016 will take place March 14, 2016 at The Manor Restaurant in West Orange. The event, hosted by the Montclair Rotary Club, is the town’s largest food-centric charity event, as all proceeds from ticket sales go to charity. More than 40 of Montclair’s top restaurants and food crafters will be contributing to the event, the most recent addition being Mundo Vegan, Montclair’s wholesome, organic, non-GMO, vegan eatery.

It may be chillier outside, but The Montclair Farmers Market is still at the Walnut Train Station Saturdays until the end of the month. Boasting the freshest produce from local Jersey farms and tasty treats from eateries like Montclair Bread Co. and Picklelicious.
