Barbara Eclectic has pastels to make your winter fashion pop.
Forget those dark hues and welcome pastels into your wardrobe this winter. Yes, you heard me correctly – pastels in winter. It wasn’t long ago that blush pink, tiffany blue and soft yellows were reserved for the spring. However, 2015 has changed the fashion game like never before. In a sea of black and grey, there is no better way to stand out then with some color.
The question is, how can you combine winter and pastel colored fashion without looking like you fell into the wrong season? One of the best ways to do this is to make these softer shades appear edgy. Pastels can become darker by adding some leather accessories. Leather booties, a purse or even a motto jacket are all great pieces for winterizing your look.
Hate leather? Try adding a pastel blazer to your closet. It’s less severe than the classic black jacket and it’s a great way to add color into your professional wardrobe. This blazer is also the perfect day-to-night piece. Take it with you for an afternoon at the office and then to a post-work outing at the bar with your girls.
If a pastel jacket or pants are too much, try starting small. Multicolored and pastel accessories are all the rage right now. A blush colored clutch or some mint shoes can take any outfit to the next level. Color blocking with pastels could be equally fashionable. Consider wearing an outfit of all black with a pop of color using a pastel heel or clutch.
Barbara Eclectic, located at 594 Valley Road in Montclair, N.J., has some great examples of winter appropriate pastels. Some of the dresses feature black with pops of soft color. This is a great way to combine the dark colors of winter with the soft hues of spring. The shop also features colorful tops that would be paired well with some leather pants. Some garments even feature a combination of several pastel colors arranged in a variety of patterns. If you are looking for a new way to change up your wardrobe, Barbara Eclectic has you covered!
