Coming to the Wellmont Theater on Thursday, Jan. 29 is Billy Idol featuring Broncho, set to bring a legend to life on the stage. Idol is most widely-known for songs such as “Dancing With Myself,” “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” and he tours today with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Billy Idol released his seventh studio album Kings & Queens of the Underground in October of 2014. This album reached the number 5 spot on the US Top Alternative Albums, number 9 spot on the US Top Rock Albums and number 35 on the US Billboard 200.

Broncho’s success is also highlighted by their features on screen in Movie 43 and the widely acclaimed HBO series, Girls. Consequence of Sound describes the band as “almost universally described with adjectives like ‘catchy’ and ‘infectious, ‘Class Historian’ and the rest of the band’s sophomore album, Just Enough Hip to Be Woman, attempts to milk as much as possible out of their brand of power chord-induced earworms.”

If you’re looking for a bite to eat before of after the show, be sure to get there early to see everything that Montclair has to offer! The Wellmont Theater is located right off of Bloomfield Avenue and offers many options for food and drinks. Check out one of the local favorites, Cuban Pete’s, for the perfect outdoor island vibe with a BYO-alcohol policy and hugely talked about Sangria.

Billy Idol tickets start at $25 and are available online at livenation.com or at the Wellmont Theater box office. The Wellmont Theater is located right off of Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair.
