Wellmont hosts British Invasion tour.
Are you a fan of the British Invasion? Look no further than the Wellmont Theater stage on Friday, Sept. 12. with Gerry and the Pacemakers, Chad & Jeremy, Billy J. Kramer, Mike Pender’s Searchers and Denny Laine!
Gerry and the Pacemakers were a British beat music group prominent during the 1960s. In common with the Beatles, they came from Liverpool, were managed by Brian Epstein and recorded by George Martin. Additionally, Chad & Jeremy are an English singing folk rock duo originating in the 1960s, comprised of Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde. They were part of the British Invasion, a large influx of British rock and pop musicians to the American music scene.
Billy J. Kramer is a British Invasion singer who was managed by the same manager as the Beatles, and he recorded several original Lennon and McCartney compositions. Mike Pender’s Searchers showcase the classic hits from Pender’s many years with the Searchers in addition to his all-new material and a blend of popular rock standards by classic artists such as Buddy Holly.
Finally, Denny Laine is an English musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist who was also an original member of the Moody Blues. He sang the band’s first hit “Go Now” and even has experience working with Paul McCartney.

The British Invasion tour’s tickets start at $39.50 for general admission floor seats and are on sale now! Tickets can be purchased online at concerts.livenation.com or at the Wellmont box office. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m., so be sure to arrive early for parking and a taste of what Montclair has to offer! There is limited parking available across from the Wellmont and additional parking along other side streets.
