Café Bonjour Montclair, which opened up back in 2001, offers a plethora of options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course dessert. There is indoor and outdoor seating, as well as high chairs available for little ones. When you walk in, you are warmly greeted by the staff, who is ready to take your order and make you feel welcome. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a sit down meal, Café Bonjour Montclair is able to accommodate.

Open for business early in the morning, Bonjour Montclair offers freshly brewed coffee and other espresso-based beverages, homemade croissants and apple turnovers, muffins,  omelettes, French toast—you name it! The chefs prepare an assortment of fresh soups every morning, such as split lentils or butternut squash. On Wednesdays and Fridays there is quiche made from scratch, such as spinach or ham swiss. Café Bonjour Montclair, despite being known for its crepes, also offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, smoothies and fresh-squeezed juices. The sandwiches are served on a choice of French baguette or multi-grain roll.  For salads, you have the option to add grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, avocado, or boiled eggs. All  salads and soups come with a chunk of fresh bread.

The options for crepes are split into savory and sweet crepes. You’re given flexibility in adding and subtracting ingredients based on your liking. You can get anything from ham, swiss and tomato to Portobello mushrooms, spinach, feta and onion. Every savory crepe or sandwich comes served with a side salad and a piece of fruit. All of the ingredients served are quality and are prepared fresh every morning. The sweeter options include crepes filled with fruits, Nutella, jelly, homemade caramel – the list goes on. The most popular option for dessert would have to be the strawberry, banana and Nutella crepe, coming topped with loads of powdered sugar, whipped cream and a piece of fruit. You are also given the option to add ice cream if your sweet tooth so desires.

The employees of Café Bonjour Montclair pay close attention to presentation, ensuring the customer that their food not only looks delicious but tastes delicious as well. “When people come to my restaurant, I want them to feel at home,” said owner Michael Tomi. “We do our best to ensure customers not only leave happy, [but are] eager to return.”
