If you’re looking for a great night out, look no further than the Wellmont Stage. On Thursday, Sept. 25, Coheed and Cambria will be taking the stage with Thank You Scientist.

Coheed and Cambria, well-known for their track “Welcome Home,” is a progressive rock band from New York. All of Coheed and Cambria’s albums are concept albums that tell a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a story written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez, which has been transcribed into a series of comic books.

The current members of the band are Claudio Sanchez on lead vocals and guitar, Travis Stever on guitar/vocals/lap steel guitar, Josh Eppard on drums/backing vocals/keyboards and Zach Cooper on bass/backing vocals/cello.

Thank You Scientist, opening for Coheed and Cambria, are actually one of the first bands signed by Sanchez’s personal label. Thank You Scientist were also formed at Montclair State University and forged out of the school’s music program.

For food before and after the Coheed and Cambria show, take a walk down Bloomfield Avenue and see what Montclair has to offer. Elevation Burger offers the freshest, made-to-order burgers and the best milkshakes, perfect for a pre-show meal that’s not too heavy. Their selections are unbelievably good!

Coheed and Cambria tickets start at $25 for general admission floor seats and are on sale now! There is limited parking available across from the Wellmont and additional parking along other side streets. Tickets can be purchased online at concerts.livenation.com or at the Wellmont box office. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m., so be sure to arrive early for parking and a taste of what Montclair has to offer! Surely you do not want to miss out on this night of great music.
