On Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Montclair Community Church, located at 143 Watchung Avenue in Montclair, N.J., Dave Pettigrew will kick off a monthly worship service.

Pettigrew is a musician and worship leader from New Jersey, and with his new all-inclusive monthly worship service with the Montclair Community Church he will aim to cross denominational and congregational lines. These services have been in the making for over three years, and they will provide a place for like minded believers from a variety of denominational backgrounds to come together and celebrate their faith.

“We are excited to bring the church community in the area together for a night of worship that crosses denominations and most importantly, draws people closer to God,” said Dave Pettigrew. “Our goal is for these services to be friendly and accessible – nothing too preachy, just a night where folks can connect with God in a deeper way.”

Hailed as the poet for the common man’s search for Christianity, Dave Pettigrew’s music has infiltrated the east coast Independent Christian Music Scene. With thought-provoking lyrics that offer a transparent look at the day-to-day struggle one undergoes when trying to live out one’s faith, Pettigrew is able to connect with audiences from all walks of life and lead them into a worship experience that inspires authentic life change from the inside out.

In a time when many churches are struggling to balance the ever-changing cultural landscape and an often stagnant in-house worship environment, Dave Pettigrew has taken on the challenge of presenting worship teams with a new take on the experience. At its core, worship is one of the best ways to bring unity into a congregation. When worship leaders and senior staff allow a fresh perspective into the mix, the practice itself is given the freedom to evolve, change and ultimately grow. This growth is often the catalyst for real life change both in individual members and the collective group.

A world vision artist and worship leader, Dave Pettigrew is passionate about bringing global issues to the forefront of the worship experience. And as a result, has been responsible for the sponsorship of countless children through the program.

Selected as one of the top 20 emerging artists in contemporary Christian music, Pettigrew has opened for Michael W. Smith, MercyMe, Brandon Heath, Thousand Foot Krutch, Addison Road, Lincoln Brewster, Mark Schultz, The Afters and For King & Country.
