The Adult School of Montclair is featuring several cooking and nutrition courses in the upcoming month. The next two courses will be taught by Tina Hong. Hong is a Board Certified Health Coach and founder of Goodness Multiplied Living Well Programs.
The “Energetics of Root Vegetables” course will be taught this Wednesday October 21. The course will cover information on the health benefits of implementing ingredients like squash and pumpkin into fall and winter cooking. Students will leave with three new powerhouse recipes.
“Around the World Healthy Thanksgiving Sides” will run next Wednesday, November 4. The class will help students learn how to create healthy and exciting, non-traditional Turkey Day side dishes. Students will leave with recipes they’ll make for years to come, throughout the holiday season and beyond.

No time to go out for dinner this week? Villalobos, Montclair’s traditional Mexican restaurant, is open for Taco Happy Hour! Grab 3 tacos in house-made tortillas for $3 Tuesday through Sunday, 3-6PM. Lunch is served from the standard menu Tuesday through Sunday 11:30-4:30PM, with takeout, dine-in, and walking-distance local delivery.
