Elevation Burger is deliciously healthy.
Although the company is international, Elevation Burger can only be found in certain states. Montclair is lucky to be one of two towns that host the burger restaurant in New Jersey. The website, elevationburger.com, states, “Come try us, and see what makes Elevation Burger unique!”
Hans Hess, the founder of the franchise, sought good food that was organic, sustainable and fresh. Combining his desire for such food with a comfortable setting, his franchise company expanded globally in 2008.
I went in and talked with the manager of the Montclair location, Keishia Woodard, who was well versed in her company’s background. “It is unique because of the menu that offers organic meat, the fresh potatoes cooked in olive oil and gluten free options.”
The menu contains 100 percent USDA-certified organic, grass-fed, free-range beef. Next to a list of burger options is a list of fresh toppings. Woodard explains that the “elevation burger” is a very popular burger choice, made of two organic beef patties. The customer then “elevates” their burger with toppings of their choice. Looking past the name of the restaurant, Woodard explains, “The veggie patties are also very popular, with two possible veggie pattie choices available.”
Elevation Burger has the perks of obtaining a quick meal, yet Keisha would not consider it fast-food. While fast-food chains strive for better options on their menu, the name still connotes an unhealthy meal option. Woodard is correct; while the setting is comfortable for any type of customer relation, their products contain maximum freshness down to the soda. While fountain soda is still an option, a refrigerator contains sugar free and cane-sugar sodas. Stocked with hard-to-come-by Wild Bill’s Olde Fashioned Soda Pop, Woodard explains, “We even have one man who comes in here weekly just to buy a case of Wild Bill’s Orange Soda.”
Their busiest hours are noon and on, Thursday through Saturday, but weekends seem to bring the buzz of families. Elevation Burger
provides families a low-key dining out atmosphere. It is fun for the kids, yet parents can be happy knowing they are feeding their family well.
