Fab Faux are truly fabulous.
One of the greatest and most popular bands in music history, the Beatles, may not be replaceable, but the guys in the Fab Faux can certainly cover their music. The Fab Faux, now on tour, are going to take the Wellmont stage on April 20. They will be performing their setlist of the Complete Beatles’ Biggest Hits.
Jimmy Vivino, Will Lee, Jack Petruzzelli, Frank Agnello and Rich Pagano make up the “more than a cover band” Fab Faux. The five men have been traveling around covering not only iconic Beatles classics like“Yellow Submarine” and “Let it Be,” but are also known for covering Beatles songs never performed by the original foursome.
The five members who make up the Fab Faux have been paying tribute to the greats John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison since 1998. The idea for the group started when Lee and Vivino, who were neighbors at the time, were just throwing ideas around in an elevator. The next thing they knew, the Fab Faux was born.
The group has been traveling all over, spreading the same joy that the Beatles once did. Old Beatles fans who cannot get enough Beatlemania and newcomers who are just learning about the phenomenon will love this group. Now, the Fab Faux is bringing their celebration of one of the world’s most beloved bands to Montclair’s Wellmont Theater.
The show will start at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available on the Wellmont Theatre’s site, or at the box office, open on Fridays. Price options are $45, $65 and $125. Parking will be available in the lot next to the Wellmont Theater, and on the surrounding streets.
There are plenty of places to dine before and after the show. Raymond’s on Church Street is always pleasant, and only about a mile from the theater. Or, maybe something a little more exotic: Mesob’s Ethiopian Restaurant is right on Bloomfield Avenue.
The Fab Faux have been called “the greatest Beatles cover band, without the wigs!” by Rolling Stone magazine’s own David Fricke, and have generated pleasure everywhere they have toured. Don’t miss your chance to see what all the buzz is about! For more information on the group, please visit their website or the Wellmont site.
