Another great show has been announced for the Wellmont lineup, and fans are encouraged to get their tickets while they can! Godsmack will be gracing the stage on Tuesday, May 12 at 8 p.m. in what is sure to be an amazing performance.

Godsmack is an alternative metal band from Massachusetts that formed in 1995. The band is composed of founder, frontman and songwriter Sully Erna, guitarist Tony Rombola, bassist Robbie Merrill and drummer Shannon Larkin. Since the 90’s, Godsmack has released six albums in the studio, one live album and a handful of DVDs.

Three of Godsmack’s albums have even reached number one status on the Billboard 200, and has had 20 top 10 rock radio hits. The band has also had experience touring on Ozzfest on more than one occasion.

Their most recent album, 100hp (which stands for 1000 Horsepower), was released in August of 2014 and immediately sold over 58,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, landing it at the number three spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Godsmack also headlined the 2014 Uproar Festival.

If you’re looking for food before or after the show, be sure to check out the many options that are located right by the Wellmont. One great choice is Ah Pizz, a delicious pizzeria right off of Bloomfield on North Willow Street. Ah Pizz offers amazing choices in pizzas and Italian-style dishes, and is a BYO/BYOB restaurant.

Godsmack tickets start at $40 and are available online at livenation.com or at the Wellmont Theater box office. The Wellmont Theater is located right off of Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. Parking is available across from the venue, but is limited. Concert-goers are encouraged to arrive early for a spot, but additional parking is also available on the side streets and along Bloomfield Avenue. The show starts at 8 p.m. but doors open at 7 p.m., so be sure to get there early!
