Outpost brings Howie Day.
For the next upcoming Outpost in the Burbs show, Howie Day is coming to Montclair on Friday, Jan. 16. Day is a singer-songwriter who began his career as a solo artist in the late 1990s.
According to the Outpost website, “Howie Day’s emotionally resonant lyrics and inventive melodies have earned him both critical praise and a legion of devoted fans. He is known for his energetic, heartfelt shows, where he connects with audiences through the strength of his songwriting and his quirky sense of humor. Day’s warm tenor voice ‘soars into fluttering, high registers, but also grates with real, pleading grit,’ as one critic put it. After sales of more than a million albums and two Top 10 hits, Day is back on the road showcasing old favorites, as well as new material from his upcoming studio release.”
Tickets for the Howie Day show are $22 and can be purchased in person at Keil’s Pharmacy, Terra Tea and Studio042. They can also be purchased online at ticketleap.com. The show is from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., so be sure to get there with plenty of time for parking and to ensure you don’t need to rush around before what is sure to be a great show to kick off the new season!
The venue is located just one block over from Valley Road, which has great choices for places to eat before or after the show. One restaurant, Nauna’s Bella Casa, will give you a wonderful experience perfect for the whole family. Nauna’s offers a wide array of Italian cooking, appetizers, soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, veal, chicken and seafood dishes.
