Jim Gaffigan livens up the crowd.
You know you are in for a great show when fat jokes, cancer jokes and religious jokes can be told and the entire audience erupts in laughter. That is exactly what happens when comedian Jim Gaffigan takes the stage. The funny father of five had an early show at Montclair’s Wellmont Theater, and has another show tonight, March 2, at 10 p.m. The first show was packed, and based on his set the second show should be too. People were lined up already at 8:30 p.m. Gaffigan jokes about bars, babies, weddings and a whole lot more on his ” American Tour.”
Jim Gaffigan’s tickets can be bought tonight at the door as long as they are available for $40-55. Your hard working money will not go to waste with this performance. It will be worth every dollar you spend.
If concert goers arrive early, parking for the event can be found throughout the surrounding area. A parking deck is located between S. Fullerton Ave. and S. Park St. just a short walk from the theater. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert starts at 8 p.m.
Check out some of the great restaurants in the Montclair area for a complementary night of dinner and a concert. Aozora Japanese and European Restaurant is located right across the Wellmont, which offers a fusion of European and Japanese food. For a taste of Thailand visit Spice II, also on Bloomfield across from the theater. Just five minutes from the theater, Leone’s on Park Street is known for their authentic brick oven pizza. Raymond’s on Church Street is always pleasant, and only about a mile from the theater. Or, maybe something a little more exotic: Mesob’s Ethiopian Restaurant is right on Bloomfield Avenue.
