Joseph Arthur returns to the Outpost stage for another great show.
Next up for Outpost in the Burbs is a show with singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur on Friday, Dec. 12, coming back for his second Outpost show. He is best known for his solo material, and as a member of Fistful of Mercy and RNDM. In 2013, Arthur used Pledge Music campaign to fund the release of his 10th studio album, The Ballad of Boogie Christ, which was then released later in the year.
Joseph Arthur’s 10 studio albums include the most recent Graduation Ceremony (2011), Redemption City (2012), The Ballad of Boogie Christ (2013) and Lou: The Songs of Lou Reed (2014). He also has 11 EPs under his belt, including the Junkyard Hearts series. Arthur has been featured in films such as Shrek 2 and The Bourne Identity, and in TV shows such as Scrubs, True Blood and Conan.
According to the Outpost website, “Arthur returns to the Outpost after last year’s highly regarded concert at which both his musical and artistic (painting) skills were on display. We expect no less of a fabulous show Dec. 12.” Additionally, on the site’s event page, Peter Gabriel is quoted as saying, “When I first heard Jo’s music, his lyrics jumped out at me. I love his words, love his music. It’s great to see some of his best written work assembled. His words rattle and rumble and prise open the cage.”
