Kaleidoscope shows off talent.
Peak Performances and the John J. Cali School of Music on the campus of Montclair State University are gearing up for their annual show, titled Kaleidoscope. This year, the performances will take place on Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. at the Alexander Kasser Theater, located on the Montclair State campus.
Kaleidoscope is a 90-minute, non-stop extravaganza featuring music in all styles: choral, orchestral, band, jazz, vocal, chamber, musical theater and solo instrumental. It is a celebration of the diverse programming and talented students and faculty at MSU’s Cali School of Music. The MSU Chorale is under the direction of Heather J. Buchanan, and their performance is part of Montclair State University’s Peak Performances concert series.
Refreshments are available at the concession stand before the performance but no food or drink is permitted inside the theater at any time. For light foods and coffee, Cafe Diem, now serving Au Bon Pain items, is located in close proximity to the theater and connected to the library. For a full menu available 24/7, the Red Hawk Diner is located on the far end of campus.
Tickets are available at the box office located in the Alexander Kasser Theater or online at the Peak Performances website, peakperfs.org. The Alexander Kasser Theater Box Office is open regularly Monday through Friday from noon to six p.m. It is also open for extended hours during the days of the performances, from 10 a.m. until the show begins.
The Kasser Theater is located towards the front of campus next to the Red Hawk Parking Deck. Montclair undergraduate students are permitted one free ticket with their student ID. All tickets are $15. Parking is available in the Red Hawk Deck as well as the Transit Parking Deck across campus. Public transportation that runs directly in front of the Kasser Theater is also available.
Kaleidoscope will be performed Oct. 10 – 11, so get your tickets while they’re available!
