Kaleidoscope is a 90-minute, non-stop extravaganza featuring music in all styles: choral, orchestral, band, jazz, vocal, chamber, musical theater and solo instrumental. It is a celebration of the diverse programming and talented students and faculty at MSU’s Cali School of Music.

The MSU Chorale is under the direction of Heather J. Buchanan, and their performance is part of Montclair State University’s Peak Performances concert series. Kaleidoscope tickets are available for $15 each and are available to be purchased either at the Alexander Kasser Theater Box Office, or online at the Peak Performance website.

The Alexander Kasser Theater Box Office is open regularly Monday through Friday from noon to six p.m. It is also open for extended hours during the days of the performances, from 10 a.m. until the show begins. One ticket is available for all Montclair State undergraduate students who wish to reserve one at the box office. A valid student I.D. must be presented when reserving the ticket.

Parking is available in the Red Hawk Parking Deck complex located right below the theater itself and you will receive a ticket when entering that can be brought to any of the Pay Stations on levels 2, 4 or 5 of the deck. Tickets usually are bought quickly, so make sure to go early if getting good seats, sitting together with a group or going on a certain night is a priority.

And perhaps if you are a little famished before or after the show, it is no worry for there are many venues on campus which includes Café-Diem, an on-campus mix of Starbucks and Panera Bread, whose menu includes Starbucks brand coffee, pastries and flatbread sandwiches, among other things.

And if you’re not in the mood for a mid-evening lunch, sit down and have dinner at the Red Hawk Diner where they serve a wide range of entrée’s and friendly hospitality. There is metered parking available in the lot by the diner, at a rate of 75 cents per half hour for a maximum of three hours. These meters only accept cash.

A night out experiencing Kaleidoscope will surely offer you and your friends something to talk about, enjoy and remember for time to come.
