Liberty Science Center: fun for the whole family.
This summer, get the family together and take them to a place full of wonder and excitement at the Liberty Science Center! If you want your kids to have a great time and get an education about the world around them, this is the place to go this summer. With kids’ tickets listed at only $15 and adults only being $19, this amazing day is quite affordable.
The Liberty Science Center offers many great and interactive exhibits that cover many educational and even physical aspects. One of the many great educational exhibits they have includes Beyond Planet Earth: The Future of Space Exploration, which shows kids the future of space exploration in the near future. According to the Liberty Science Center’s website, lsc.org, “What will humans discover next in their quest to explore space? This immersive exhibition includes holograms, simulations, and realistic models that will help you separate science fact from science fiction. You will glimpse future missions to the Moon, near-Earth asteroids, Mars, one of Jupiter’s moons and beyond.”
This exhibit is a great example of our newest technologies and ideas combined. Another great exhibit is the Nano Mini-Exhibition, which was built to show and introduce kids to the science of nanotechnology and engineering. Through hands on experience and showing them the ethical/ societal implications of new technology. One of the most worthwhile exhibits that you will see right when you walk in is the Infinity Climber, which is a great physical and interactive playground for kids. It’s a nest of pathways and climbing areas suspended 35 feet off the ground. The best part about this is that it’s never ending, just as the name implies. But what really makes this play set special is that it’s the first of its kind in the world and is only available at the Liberty Science Center.
Transportation from Montclair to the Liberty Science Center, located in Jersey City, is no problem at all if you don’t have access to a car. You can go to any NJ Transit train station in town and grab a train to New York Penn Station, then grab the connecting rail to Liberty State Park. All you have to do from there is to go under the the turnpike and the Liberty Science Center will be right in front of you!
If you want an educational day out with the kids and the rest of the family. bring them to the Liberty Science Center for a day filled with fun that they will never forget!
