Max and Ruby take the stage.
Just announced for this holiday season at the Wellmont Theater is the Max and Ruby Nutcracker Suite, coming to the stage on Saturday, Dec. 20.
According to the show’s website, maxandrubyontour.com, “Max & Ruby bring to life a wonderful tradition this holiday season as they take to the stage their most magical performance yet! Inspired by one of the greatest musical scores ever composed – Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite – the beloved bunny siblings star in Koba Entertainment’s brand new musical production Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite.”
Max and Ruby is a Canadian-American animated series, most commonly seen on Nickelodeon, about a brother and sister rabbit pair of the same name. The series was created by children’s book author and illustrator Rosemary Wells; it is also based on the world of her Max and Ruby books. The show is about Max, a rambunctious preschool-aged rabbit, and his older sister, Ruby, a patient, sometimes restrictive rabbit. The show follows the two on their day-to-day activities, usually leading to Ruby helping Max get out of whatever trouble he has put themselves in.
The Max and Ruby Nutcracker Suite features the classic piece, along with some bunny hijinks that are sure to keep the kids smiling.
