Selections at the Montclair Food and Wine Festival.
Coming soon to the Montclair Art Museum is the Montclair Food and Wine Festival on Saturday, July 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. The festival will be an outdoor “BBQ, Bourbon and Biergarten” themed tasting event. This will include both savory and sweet dishes from top chefs from around the area, the perfect addition to your calendar this summer.
Visitors can expect bourbon and craft beers from local artisanal and national brands, along with live music provided by the Wellmont Theater. There will also be a raffle and silent auction, which is included in the price of the general admission ticket.
“I’m excited to sample the different beers,” said John Marino, local resident. “I love sampling different varieties, so I’m excited to see what they have to offer [at the Montclair Food and Wine Festival.]”
A barbeque competition will also be judged by: John Holl, a beer and food writer; Ed Schoenfeld, a restaurateur and judge on the Food Network; Veronique Deblois, KCBS certified judge and food blogger; and Special Master of Ceremonies Anne Marie Leamy. Guests will also get in on the judging action via a people’s choice vote. Holl will also be signing his new book, Dishing Up Jersey: 150 Recipes from the Garden State, with purchase.
General admission is $85 and includes access to the main area of food, craft beer, bourbon tastings, BBQ competition and music. For those with a more advanced pallet, a premium bourbon and beer tasting experience is also available for an additional $35 with the general admission ticket purchase, for $120. All tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite.
The festival will be located at the Montclair Art Museum, which can be found at 3 South Mountain Ave. in Montclair. The Montclair Food and Wine Festival will take place rain or shine. Be sure to buy your tickets today for this great culinary experience in Montclair!
