On June 7, 2018, Montclair High School administrators and teachers held the annual Awards Ceremony, honoring stand-out students within the very impressive graduating senior class.
This particular event is held during an already hectic time of year, but it represents something very important. Not only is this a time when students are recognized for their hard work and dedication during their high school careers, but it also acts as a helping hand for students planning on attending college in the near future.
College is a very expensive endeavor for anyone to tackle. The Montclair High School administration and its sponsors have recognized this fact, and therefore work to help in any way they can. The award ceremony is a time when students are gifted with well-earned scholarship money–some prizes in the tens of thousands, and some in the hundred dollar range. However, regardless of the monetary amount, every little bit helps. These smaller cash prizes can go toward textbooks, supplies, and other necessary college expenses that are often overlooked.
The Montclair Dispatch urges the town to support the ceremony and to donate to the Montclair Scholarship Fund in any way possible.
This year’s award winners are listed below. Congratulations to the entire class of 2018!
