South Moon Under offers great finds to start off your New Year.
Five…four…three…two…one! This New Year’s Eve it’s all about the sparkles and the glamour. Whether you’re staying at home to watch the ball drop, or going out for the night, go ahead and steal that spotlight this year. Here are a few fashion trends that will be sure to get you noticed on the big day.
Sheer wrapping is one of the more elegant looking styles out there. These dresses have a sheer piece of material wrapped around the entire dress, allowing arms and shoulders to peep out, while providing extra coverage. This is a great way to show some skin without going overboard and freezing in the cold.
Another way to stand out this New Year’s is with a sequin jumpsuit. Everybody is familiar with the classic New Year’s Eve sequin dress, so throw an interesting twist on the look and wear something unexpected. Jumpsuits provide more warmth than a dress by having leg coverage, and they are eye-catching, as they won’t blend in with all the other little black dresses this year.
Still not sure you’ve found your party-ready look? Try an interesting geometric print on a pencil skirt. Shiny prints, and sleek hemlines can attract just as much attention as other trends. Go for a high-shine silver and black skirt for a slimming and bold look.
Looking for a little more volume? Try adding some ruffles to your look. Ruffles can look flirty and chic when added to either the bottom of a dress or the hem. They also give girls with a slimmer frame some curves for a flirty look.
If those trends won’t steal enough attention on your big night out, then try something a little more daring. The sheer lace one piece is guaranteed to turn some heads. A sheer body suit can be tucked into pants or a skirt and worn as a top. A matching color bandeau can be worn over a strapless bra to create the illusion of some extra coverage, so this look remains classy.
The last trend that you can steal for this New Year’s Eve is the sequin crop top. The crop top has been popping up this winter in party themed fashion. It would appear that because the crop top is typically a summer item, it really brings the drama needed for a night out when worn during the colder months. Adding sequins to this short staple screams New Year’s ready. Pair it with a long skirt or some pants for balance.
You can find these, among many other amazing New Year’s finds at Montclair’s own South Moon Under, located at 10 South Park Street.
