Outpost Benefit Concert

Taking to the Outpost in the Burbs stage this spring are David Bromberg and Larry Campbell in a Outpost benefit concert. The show will take place on Saturday, April 11 at 8 p.m., and concert-goers have an option of getting a VIP ticket.

David Bromberg is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter who plays bluegrass, blues, folk, jazz, country, western and rock and roll. He is known for his funny lyrics and the ability to play rhythm and lead guitar at the same time. Bromberg has played with many well-known musicians, such as Willie Nelson, Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan. He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2008.

Larry Campbell is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, mandolin, slide guitar and violin and falls into various genres including country, folk, blues and rock. He has been on tour with Bob Dylan and has recorded with artists including Sheryl Crow, Paul Simon, B. B. King and Willie Nelson.

According to the Outpost in the Burbs website, “this is a benefit concert for Outpost in the Burbs, Inc. so that our valiant band of volunteers can continue to bring the northern New Jersey area great concerts as affordable prices while sponsoring community service events and community-building outings.”

The Outpost benefit concert tickets for the David Bromberg and Larry Campbell show are $42 for general admission tickets and $125 for VIP tickets. VIP tickets include This VIP ticket includes a wine and cheese meet and greet prior to the show plus reserved seating. All tickets can be purchased in person at Keil’s PharmacyTerra Tea and Studio042. They can also be purchased online at ticketleap.com. The show is from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., so be sure to get there with plenty of time for parking.

For those who are looking to grab a bite to eat before the show, there is a variety of eateries all over Bloomfield Avenue, such as HLS (Health, Love and Soul), Escape, and Le Petit Parisien. There are also some eateries near the Lackawanna Plaza, such as Pig and Prince, and an American-fare restaurant/bar called Just Jake’s on Park Street and Bloomfield Avenue.
