Coming to the Kasser Theater is the Richard Alston Dance Company, performing American premieres of Rejoice in the Lamb and Holderlin Fragments, with Illuminations and Unfinished Business.

The show is staffed by artistic director Richard Alston, choreographer Richard Alston and musicians Benjamin Britten and W.A. Mozart. Live music will be performed by Nicholas Phan, tenor; Jason Ridgway, piano; American Contemporary Music Ensemble (Clarice Jensen, artistic director) and Vocal Accord (Dr. Heather J. According to the Peak Perfomances website, “the 2014 engagement includes the American premieres of two glorious new works created for the Benjamin Britten centenary, Rejoice in the Lamb and Holderlin Fragments, along with the reprise of Unfinished Business and 1994’s Illuminations, set to Britten’s song cycle based on poems by Rimbaud.”

The Richard Alston Dance Company will be performing on Oct. 30 – Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 2 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online at peakperfs.org or at the Kasser Theater box office for $20. Undergraduate students at Montclair State also receive one free ticket to the show with a valid student I.D.

Refreshments are available at the concession stand before the performance but no food or drink is permitted inside the theater at any time. For light foods and coffee, Cafe Diem is located in close proximity to the theater and connected to the library. For a full menu available 24/7, the Red Hawk Diner is located on the far end of campus.
