Coming next month to the Kasser Theater lineup is Robert Whitman’s Swim, sure to be another hit. The show will run on March 26-27 at 7:30 p.m., March 28 at 8 p.m. and March 29 at 3 p.m.

According to the Peak Peformances website, “Robert Whitman has a long history of creating non-narrative theater works that unfold in environments where multiple actions and events take place at the same time. Each member of the audience is therefore free to compose his or her own experience of the work. With Swim, Whitman creates a new work to be enjoyed by blind and sighted people alike. Swim will present a rich succession of images and activities in which sound, movement, and smells join the visual as equal part of the experience. According to Whitman, ‘an image, an object, a performer or an action may not be seen, but it can be heard; it can be smelled; it can be perceived and felt; and in this shared experience the audience, sighted and blind, can be brought into a single community.'”

Food options are available on campus as well at the Red Hawk Diner that is open all night. It is located on the far side of the campus. Another option for light refreshments after Swim is Cafe Diem, which now serves food from Au Bon Pain. It is located close to the Kasser Theater. Please feel free to check out of these food services.

Tickets for Swim are available at the box office located in the Alexander Kasser Theater or online at the Peak Performances website, peakperfs.org. Montclair undergraduate students are permitted one free ticket with their student ID. All tickets are $20. The Kasser Theater is located towards the front of campus next to the Red Hawk Parking Deck.  Parking is available in the Red Hawk Deck as well as the Transit Parking Deck across campus. Public transportation that runs directly in front of the Kasser Theater is also available. If you are traveling in from the city, Peak Performances is now offering a Peak Bus. Peak Performances runs a charter bus service to and from Manhattan for all Saturday and Sunday performances, and tickets can be purchased along with your show tickets.
