Valley & Bloom, the transit oriented development, has officially brought on CSBK, Waxing the City and AT&T as the first three retailers located at the base of the development. Valley & Bloom contains two buildings with 258 residential units and officially has 146 apartments occupied. These new retail tenants will open across 6,195 square feet of the available 22,000-square-foot, ground-floor retail space.

“Our Montclair studio offers facial and body waxing services for men, women and teens,” said Irfan Raja, the owner of this Waxing the City location. “When you enter our new Waxing the City studio in Montclair, you’ll know you’re somewhere special. A quick look around will reveal an upscale interior, with a vibrant reception area and comforting treatment rooms. It’s our mission to provide expert waxing services in the friendliest—and most fun—studio out there. We can’t wait to meet you!”

The development also features 20,000 square feet of office space in Building I, which is fully occupied by The Regus Group and Sotheby’s. According to a recent release, Valley & Bloom includes twosaa six-story buildings with 258 rental units. Building I is currently 91 percent occupied, and Building II launched in April 2016. Currently, the entire development is over 50 percent leased.

Residents are already moving into both buildings, which provide amenities such as a fully equipped fitness center with a spin/yoga studio, a children’s playroom and a lounge with Wi-Fi and a digital package concierge system. Both buildings also have a rooftop lounge with skyline views of the city, a landscaped courtyard and a bicycle storage room. Some additional features of Building I include 24-hour concierge services and an adjacent parking garage that is available for residents as well as the general public.

“The retail offerings at Valley & Bloom will further transform downtown Montclair into a more walkable, dynamic community. The new stores will connect the popular shops and restaurants on Bloomfield Avenue near Church Street with the less frequented area near Valley Road,” said James Driscoll, senior vice president of LCOR. “Since leasing launched for the retail space, we’ve seen tremendous interest from a number of businesses. Our goal is to serve the community with accommodations that benefit the surrounding neighborhood for years to come.”

The retail businesses opening downtown will give residents more banking, beauty and mobile service options. CSBK specializes in Northern New Jersey, offering superior service to local businesses and individuals, with 14 locations from Clifton to Hoboken, according to the release. Waxing the City offers treatments for both men and women, and will be opening its 10th New Jersey location at Valley & Bloom. The new AT&T will be the county’s 13th storefront, offering a more convenient location for area residents and visitors seeking their services and products. All three retail shops with open during summer 2016.

“CSBK is focused on expanding its brand of community banking in vibrant, dense and diverse markets in Northern NJ – and especially markets where there is a significant amount of development or redevelopment,” said Tricia Hrotko, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, CSBK Bank. “Montclair hit on all those factors.  As an added benefit, it is a market contiguous to Clifton, N.J., which is where our corporate headquarters is located.”

“The intersection of Valley and Bloomfield Ave. is in the heart of downtown Montclair,” said Gus Daghash President, A&D Wireless Corp, AT&T Authorized Retailer. “The new building looks amazing and with so many great retailers opening, it will be an ideal place for consumers to shop.  It also offers parking, which is a huge plus for consumers.”
