Support Sarah Butler’s family in a time of grieving.
Montclair lost a young, beautiful and talented woman on Thursday, Dec. 1 around 11:30 a.m. in Eagle Rock Reservation in West Orange. Sarah Butler was reported missing the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, Nov. 23 as she was last seen at 8 p.m. the day before. With the tragic news of her death at 20 years old, we send our condolences to Butler’s family.
A special thanks to Elaine Wynn Bogohosian of South Orange, N.J. for creating a GoFundMe page titled “Sarah Butler’s Light.” As of Monday, Dec. 12, 282 people raised $13,565 within nine days. The campaign’s overall goal is $15,000. Through Bogohosian’s efforts, she intends to allocate the funds to the funeral home or directly to the family. The funds will be distributed either by check, cash or payment for reimbursement to vendors or service providers. Please feel free to contact Bogohosian via the GoFundMe link (it will go to her personal email) if you have any questions or comments.
Now let us all take the time to appreciate the photographs that The Montclair Dispatch‘s publisher, Scott Kennedy, was able to capture of Sarah Butler in happier times. The following photographs were from the Montclair High School Spring Dance Show on March 17, 2013.
