Pink Floyd’s music comes to life through lasers.
Light travels at approximately 186,000 miles per second. Sound travels at about 331 meters per second. The combination of light and sound is not a rare occasion to encounter. On March 14, the magnitude at which these two sensory perceptions will be occurring are going to be absolutely mindblowing. This revitalization of the senses is happening at the Wellmont Theater, where they will be hosting The Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular!
Just imagine the atmospheric sound of Pink Floyd filling the air, the ambiance of the chords echoing throughout the air of the theater. The loud and poetic music of Pink Floyd’s classic’s being played like “In the Flesh,” “Great Gig in the Sky” and “Comfortably Numb.” Most importantly, the music becomes a visual illumination that stimulates the senses. The lights, lasers and high definition televisions become the artists, playing out a choreographed interpretation of what Pink Floyd’s music looks like. Paramount’s Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular has been in production since 1986. Producer Steve Monister is responsible for the shows success, along with the Production Manager “Laser” Dave McConkey.
