The Fourth of July is a time for barbecues, beaches, and sunshine; but it is also a time to showcase your favorite, festive fashion. It’s only natural that we want to match our outfits to our patriotic spirit–we’re proud of our nation! With the help of Oasis Clothing, we’re bringing you five firework-ready outfits for a weekend bursting with red, white, and blue.

Rock a maxi dress

You can’t go wrong with this trendy, floor-length frock. It’s the ultimate day-to-night essential. Being that it is full coverage from the waist down, the dress shields against sunburn during the day, and prevents your legs from being a many bug’s dinner at night, all while looking like the effortlessly put-together fashionista you’ve come to be.

Prep your wardrobe

Fourth of July weekend is full of family BBQs, firework shows, and carnivals. It goes without saying your weekend is jam packed, providing plenty of occasions to get dressed up. Prepare a few different outfit options so that you are ready for whatever the holiday throws your way. Assistant manager at Oasis Clothing Jessica Gomes shares some superb suggestions, “Oasis does the Fourth of July with crisp white shorts, an American flag crop top, and a bold red accessory. For a second option, we recommend pairing some distressed white skinny jeans with a royal blue halter top and red lipstick.”

Accessorize America’s Stars & Stripes

A blue and white striped skirt paired with a white t-shirt looks festive, feels comfy, and keeps you cool without going overboard. Finish the casual look off with a ruby red clutch or hair accessory such as a bow, headband, or a bedazzled hair tie for a fun pop of color.

Master head-to-toe white

For the opposite effect, try pairing white bottoms (denim, cotton, khaki; skinny jeans, bellbottoms,  shorts, skirts, trousers) with a white top (blouse, T-shirt, tank, crop top). Jazz it up with the addition of red and blue accessories to compliment the daring look. The colors will look incredibly bold against the all-white ensemble, making you stand out amongst a sea of American flag tees and bandanas.

Grab a hat

A hat is an easy way to polish off any outfit. They can dress up the most casual of looks with very little effort required. The two most popular options for the Fourth of July include baseball caps and wide brimmed sun hats. For a personal touch, tie a ribbon into a bow on the back of your baseball cap, or around the rim of your sun hat.

“Here at Oasis we are both trendy and affordable,” says Gomes. You can find all of your Fourth of July needs at Oasis located on 40 Church Street in Montclair, N.J.!
