Kennedys Back at Outpost

The Kennedys return to the Outpost stage.

The Kennedys are back again on the Outpost in the Burbs stage and are set to perform on Friday, Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

The Kennedys are an American folk-rock band, consisting of husband and wife Pete and Maura Kennedy. They have countless albums, the most recently released one in 2014 being Dance A Little Closer: The Kennedys Sing The Songs Of Nanci Griffith.

According to the Outpost in the Burbs website,  the Kennedys are coming back to the stage “with a tribute to their (The Blue Moon Orchestra) bandmate, Nanci Grtiffith, with a night of her songs including many on their limited-edition CD, Dance A Little Closer: The Kennedys Sing The Songs Of Nanci Griffith.” Some favorites include “I Wish It Would Rain,” “Trouble In The Fields” and “Across The Great Divide.”

Tickets for the Kennedys show are $22 in advance and can be purchased in person at Keil’s Pharmacy, Terra Tea and Studio042. They can also be purchased online at ticketleap.com. The show is from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., so be sure to get there with plenty of time for parking and to ensure you don’t need to rush around before what is sure to be a great show!

This venue is located just one block over from Valley Road, which has great choices for places to eat before or after the show. One restaurant, Nauna’s Bella Casa, will give you a wonderful experience perfect for the whole family. Nauna’s offers a wide array of Italian cooking, appetizers, soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, veal, chicken and seafood dishes. All reasonably priced, from their recommended fried calamari at $9.99, chicken parmigiana at $14.99 and stuffed rigatoni at $13.99.
