After completing his graduate degree in architecture from Columbia University, Eric Baker began an architecture firm reflecting his own style–and his name.
Eric Baker Architects (EBA) LLC has evolved tremendously since its 1991 inception and has transformed into a studio that practices architectural design, along with interior design and custom cabinets.
According to Eric Baker, EBA is an “architectural design firm specializing in residential and commercial architecture. Our client base is segmented into six categories: homeowners, developers, the commercial banking industry, corporate offices and interiors, and new office buildings. EBA’s more competitive edge is its design excellence as well as its knowledge of digital-based design resources and their application as they pertain to construction documentation and customer service.”
EBA recognizes that “each client has a specific need and vision. Our goal is to help define that need and transform our client’s vision into reality. We are committed to working within our clients’ budgetary and time requirements to satisfy their architectural demands. We also promise to assist our clients with every aspect and stage of their project until completion: from architectural
design to bidding negotiations and construction.”
Eric Baker Architects is registered in Connecticut, Florida, Pennsylvania, Massachusets, New Jersey, New York and South Carolina, expanding their design and construction expertise across the country, taking on both commercial and residential clients alike.
The Montclair Dispatch had the pleasure of speaking with Eric Baker about his award-winning and distinguished career, EBA’s wide variety of clients, impressive projects, and future developments.
“Our past and current commercial clients include Kearny Bank, Investors Bank, Haven Savings Bank, East End Advisors, Calvin Klein, Speedo, and Blue Jay Management.”
Aside from loyal commercial clients, EBA serves many residential customers, mostly across the tri-state area, while also conducting work in the other aforementioned states listed above.
Currently, EBA is diving into many exciting projects, including, “a 50,000 square foot corporate office building for Kearny Bank, and a $2 million renovation to big-band leader Tommy Dorsey‘s old estate in Bernardsville, New Jersey.”
Additionally, Eric has broadened his residential client list and his varying projects. “I have been developing properties with my new company Eribon Properties LLC. We just finished our second home in Glen Ridge. Also, I have a cabinet company and we have been making custom cabinets for 15 years from a location in Pittston, Pennsylvania, specializing in high-end kitchens, libraries, built-ins, and custom millwork.”
The offices of Eric Baker Architects are located in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, Brookside, New Jersey, and Stamford, Connecticut. Their diverse list of services to clients includes 3D rendering, basement remodeling, bathroom design, building design, custom homes, drafting, energy-efficient homes, floor plans, green building, historic building conservation, home additions, home extensions, home remodeling, house plans, kitchen design, kitchen remodeling, new home construction, site preparation, space planning, structural engineering, sustainable design, and construction drawings.
