There are a bunch of great movies ranging from comedy to drama to documentary coming out this summer, so don’t miss them! Here’s some information about some popular ones you might enjoy.

If you’re looking for the perfect teenage romance flick, Paper Towns is just for you. Adapted from the best-selling novel by John Green (who also wrote the book for the movie adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars), this movie will be sure to please audiences of all ages. The synopsis is short and sweet to avoid spoilers: “A young man (Nat Wolff)  and his friends embark upon the road trip of their lives to find the missing girl next door (Cara Delevingne).” It is rated PG-13, enters theaters Friday, July 24.

Also coming out July 24 is a much grittier rated R film titled Southpaw starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whitaker and Rachel McAdams. It is about the story of Billy “The Great” Hope (Gyllenhaal), who is the Junior Middleweight Boxing Champion of the World. When the love of his life, Maureen (McAdams), gets killed in an altercation between Hope and his rival, he is faced with suffering an immense loss as well as gaining a whole new responsibility: his daughter Leila (Oona Laurence).

Another action film that many will be excited to see returned to the big screen is Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. Rated PG-13, it features a star-studded cast including Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin and of course, Tom Cruise. This movie promises to bring action, a few laughs and some great eye-candy as well. The synopsis is as follows: “Ethan (Cruise) and his team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate – an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.” This family adventure film comes out next Friday, July 31.

Lastly, if you’re a fan of documentaries and have many fond memories of playing with your beloved LEGOs as a kid, you’ll be super excited for this next film. A LEGO Brickumentary gives a look at the global culture and appeal of LEGOs, every child’s favorite building-block toys. Narrated by Jason Bateman, this interesting and educational documentary is rated G and also hits theaters July 31.
